An excellent book on excellence

I recently read a book titled Assault on Lake Casitas by Brad Alan Lewis. I thought I’d mention it here in case anyone is looking for some inspiring reading. The author has a real knack for communicating his intensity and perseverance as he prepared for the 1984 Olympics. A few months ago I saw that Gordo had it on his recommended list and I finally got around to reading it.

For those that are interested, I also found that the author sells autographed copies via Amazon’s “new & used” section of its site. And no, I don’t have any stake in the book or the author.

I’m still looking for the perfect book on perfection
.

I am looking for a book on pessimism, but I don’t think I’ll find it.

Yes, reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons when Springfield Convention Center hosted the awards for Achievement in Excellence.

THAT is funny!
