American Zofingen Race Report (F1)

Howdy, my Am Zof race report is up on www.xtri.com . Thanks again to the CM2 folks for a seriously kick ass event. When I emailed the race report to the editor she had the same reaction as everyone I talk to “I totally wanna do that race.” Having gone from wanting to do it, to having done it, I can assure you it lives up to the stories and more and it should be at the top of anyones race calander as its that good.

Happy reading…

John,

Nice meeting you on Sunday, nice race and RR. However, could you please stop praising ML, he was hard enough to put up with before

Oh and if you “enjoyed” AZ you would love Epicman combined with the Murphy’s Law stupidity challenge the night before.

John, off topic, are you planning to defend at triridgefield, or give the rest of us a chance?

It breaks my heart to not race ridgefield and there is something wrong about not defending a title, but I can’t this year as it conflicted with both Mooseman and Rev3 one of which I need to do as a prep for IMUSA my first A race of the year. I am also not defending my Block Island Tri title which I have held since 2007 as its 6 days after Ironman.

I begged with Evan the RD in a bar last fall to move the date but he didn’t want to and with his race selling out 500 spots in no time I can see why he doesn’t fear the conflict with other events as his is kick ass. I am bummed hopefully the stars and calander will line up in 2011 so I can come back. That run is awesome and evil and amazing for a sprint tri.

I traded emails with him as well to change the date. Last year it was nice to do his and then Rev3. Hopefully next year Memorial day moves back to earlier in May so his will be in May and Rev3 in June.

Now if I could only get Cliff to skip Ridgefield…

Good luck at Rev3.

Great report. Thanks!
You and ML put on a great show.

Best xtri article of the year.
