I’ll be in Amelia Island, FL on vacation from June 20-June 26th. Are there are any Slowtwitch Forum members who live there (or nearby)and who are willing to run with a visiting, occasional, Slowtwitch poster? I’d also be interested in a ride, if you know any place where I can rent a bike.

Go to TriFlorida.com - Forum section - find Mike (IronPenguin) He lives near Amelia Island - great guy - He will be able to help you out! We use to do a triathlon on the island - great place to bike and run - ocean is nice when flat! Beaches are hard packed sand. The golf course are also very nice - watch out for deer and turkeys during your early morning bike rides. Z
I’m south of Amelia Island in St Augustine. If you don’t mind the car ride to get here we have group runs on Tuesday evenings and a weekly training duathlon on Thursday evenings. The duathlon can be the duathlon, or just the bike or just the run. Its a blast and everyone has fun!
