I was looking around for details for Paris-Roubaix this year and stumbled upon a day trip package and then on looking further into the Sports Tours International site I spotted some awesome TdF packages for those of us that can’t spent a certain three weeks out in France. But the icing on the cake was this amazing add on for the ITT around Lake Annecy:
Thursday 23rd July:
The Main Individual Time Trial of the 2009 Tour de France will be a 45km circuit of the beautiful Lake Annecy, taking in the 5km climb of Cote de Super Talloires and Col de Bluffy.
Our base in Cluses offers good access to today’s all important time trial, and those with bikes will be able to ride (50km) to Lake Annecy to see the stage, whilst those without bikes will be taken to the time trial by the touring bus.
As an Official Tour Operator to the Tour de France we can offer you an exclusive package where you spend the morning at the riders start village in Annecy, after which you will follow a rider over the whole time trial course in an official Tour de France car and when you get to the finish you can take your place in the exclusive Izoard hospitality bus 100mts from the line where you will see the rest of the riders finish the time trial.
