This is Patty our little terrier mix who had a deformed leg at birth. About 6 months ago he jumped of the sofa and it snapped badly. We though about putting him down as he was in terrible pain. The leg was so bad the vet could not fix it so we had it taken off. He hasn’t really missed a beat. We tought him how to swim and fetch the ball from the pool. He can hang with our lab in a running contest. Amazing little dude. So happy we didn’t put him down.
Thanks for sharing that. I am glad too that you went that route. Animals can be so happy in the right environment. Sometimes they are at their happiest simply when they are making you happy.

as for the following video…that is a little…strange, to say the least.
It’s amazing to watch his body adapt to running on three legs. His back ones kind of spread out and his front one moves toward the middle so he is like a tripod.
That is why I am such a dog nut. Cats are great, birds are pretty, fish make me jealous and hamsters are fun but it’s that awsome ‘can do’ spirit that dogs have that just make you think everything is going to be alright.
