Am I the only person who thinks Mrs. Clinton is Communist?

Don’t start flaming mne just yet, this isn’t an attack on a political party or your voting choices, this is just some simple harmless flamingbags of digested eggplant, I’m tossing out, thought you guys might be interested.

Anyway, I was watching the Democratic (yawn) National Convention and Mrs. Clinton was out giving her address. First thing I noticed, not that many people seemed to lke her. Oh sure, New York was out in force (sorta), but multiple times when they cut to shots of the audience people seemed lass than enthused. 2. She never once mentioned she was married. Am I wrong in thinking she’s trying to forget, the only reason people know the Clinton name is because of her husband? 3. She sure knows how to twist words. Seemed like every other thing she said contradicted itself.
I know politics is pretty twisted, but last night almost seemed insulting to inteligent people everywhere. a whole lot of “touchy, feel good, bishop polishing,” but nothing very relevant or truthful.
The only reason I posted this, is because the Lavender Forum has a special little vibe to it preventing all of you from taking this very seriously, or starting a flame war. This is simple my attempt to get all the attention I can, that way I feel special. So I’ve upped my posting, Up Yours!

No. The eight years of the Klinton administration were the closest this country has come to being full-blown red. I had buddies of mine from the SF, units that don’t exist, etc. tell me to “get ready-this is it” I know I sound like Art Bell, but we almost went over the edge and the liberal fucking media was all to willing to give us the extra shove.

Waco was a warning shot to those who would oppose the (new) federal government in any way…

I am voting for Kerry/Edwards only to block the Hitlery '08 red commie tide that will wash over this country if she is “elected.”

You laugh now–just wait and you will see.

Brett

Please explain why you think she is a communist.

  1. and you think the GOP convention will be any more exciting?

  2. if you look at the crowd during most of the speeches, you’ll always see people milling around. It’s just funny that they’re doing it to her.

Let’s look at two examples, because this question is too ridiculous to waste much time on:

1- She tried to nationalize one-seventh of the economy with her “healthcare” plan.

2- She once commented that tax cuts weren’t a good stimulus for the economy, 'cuz folks might not spend the money on the right things!!

She’s not so much a commie as a megalomaniac. She truly thinks she knows what’s best and would like to be the Idi Amin of America. Fact is, she doesn’t know squat.

Bitch wrote a book about raising children, and she’s had a nanny looking after hers so she could have a more fulfilling life than being a mother. WTF?

Should we run all questions by you to make sure they are answer-worthy?

You contradicted yourseld saying it was a ridiculous question then saying she wasnt a communist but a magalomaniac.

Nationalizing healthcare isnt solely communist. Both Britain and Canada have it. Neither is a communist country.

I guess my point is that it is easy to call names but rarely are those names backed up with facts.

As someone who has voted for both parties, I guess I’m what you would call a swing voter. It makes me sick when I hear people viciously attacking the others. All the anti-Clinton, anti-Bush rhretoric really turns me off big time. Instead of trashing the other guy, why not accentuate the good points to your candidate? That would make me much more conducive to your arguments.

What good points?

“What good points?”

Yeah, what the furry guy said!

“As someone who has voted for both parties, I guess I’m what you would call a swing voter.”

    • Swingers always vote for the liberal…

“Instead of trashing the other guy, why not accentuate the good points to your candidate?”

    • In our two party system, have you looked lately? Both parties are running stiffs, so if there’s no there there, how can you run a positive campaign.

“That would make me much more conducive to your arguments.”

    • Perhaps if the voters insisted on positive messages and voted for third parties until the two majors wise up…

Sorry, just dreaming there for a minute!

Here is how you break down the difference between the two parties:

Democrats: “We will hasten the move towards a facist communist state”

Republicans: “We will slow the move towards a facist communist state”

Easy.

Brett

“Should we run all questions by you to make sure they are answer-worthy?”

    • Dude, that was irony. Take a chill pill…

“You contradicted yourseld saying it was a ridiculous question then saying she wasnt a communist but a magalomaniac.”

    • No, she’s a commie. I just said she wasn’t so much a commie as a megalomaniac. The second being actually a bit more of a negative for a world leader (who might have her petulant finger on the red button).

“Nationalizing healthcare isnt solely communist. Both Britain and Canada have it. Neither is a communist country.”

    • Depends on how you define it. GB and Canada are commie in my book. If you’d prefer to call them socialist, I’ll accept that.

“I guess my point is that it is easy to call names but rarely are those names backed up with facts.”

    • Uh, how much time you got, Pancho. Hillarity is a communist. That’s why I said “was that a serious question?” But I guess there’s at least one guy on the planet who thinks she’s not, huh?

Communist = possibly

Socialist = more likely

Really but ugly = definately

Things would be so much more interesting at the conventions if we could be more like Italy and have a porn star from each side of the isle in Congress.

Except…lots of people still come to the U.S. for heathcare when there asses are on the line. Why is that?

I would be in favor of socialized medicine if quality of care were not impacted. But socialization of anything rarely works. Maybe someone has an example. I can’t think of one.

“Bitch wrote a book about raising children, and she’s had a nanny looking after hers so she could have a more fulfilling life than being a mother. WTF?”

Hmmm. I’m a working woman who employs a nanny, although I haven’t written a book about raising children. Some people think I’m a bitch, but I don’t think it has anything to do with my mothering skills. Also, seems to me Chelsea didn’t turn out too bad and she had to put up with Billy-boy being president and all. Anyhoo, that debate could go on forever…

What the Hillary thread really reminded me of was a situation I faced when I was interviewing at law firms in Texas during law school in the early 90s. One of the firms was full of true blue southern good ol’ boys. I knew I probably wasn’t what they were looking for and they were certainly not going to be my first pick. At lunch (with 2 guys), I decided to spice up the day and test their southern manners by broaching the subject of Hillary by saying something like: “I think it’s about time we had a first lady in the White House that does something other than re-decorate rooms and talk about kids. I just LOVE Hillary.” Let me tell you, it was a hoot watching their insincere and half-assed attempts to agree with me.

“The US healthcare is heading to bankruptcy. in 1960, healthcare cost 5% of GDP and in 1998 it was up to 14%.”

    • Try tort reform. It’s the cost of malpractice insurance that’s causing the problem. In a communist system, you get worse healthcare and you can’t sue anybody if it goes wrong. That’s not really helping things…

“Of 29 industrialized countries, the US spent more than 2x’s per capita than any of the other 28 countries and they are the only country with a large portion (44 million) of it’s people with health coverage.”

    • That’s because a) more folks here have health coverage and b) in commie/socialist countries, the healthcare isn’t cheaper, it’s just that no one sees the actualy bill.

“Canada, Great Britain and Australia to name a few have national health care and the life expectancy is greater than the US, the cost is lower and you don’t have people declaring bankruptcy after they recover from cancer.”

    • I don’t know, a friend of mine had cancer in Canada, and had to wait so friggin long for treatment that he nearly died. Then they took out his good kidney (doctor had the x-ray flipped) and he died shortly after surgery. His family got nothing for the screw-up.

“That Hillary, what was she possibly thinking.”

    • That she knows better what to do with our money than we do. If that doesn’t scare you then I’m scared for both of us. Countries with socialized medicine DO NOT provide better care.

I never labeled Hilary as a communist, however, I would label her as a power-monger with questionable ethics. All of the pardoning the Clintons did, in turn for HUGE donations to Hilary’s campaign treasure chest was deplorable.

Well, I’ve succeeded. This is now the most popular post in the room. Let it be remebered for all time, Ze Gopha’s crazy ass outlook broke the twenty post barrier.

Anyway, I suppose I should re-phrase my accusation.
Mr.s Clinton is not communist, she only desires to be communist. Right now she’s stuck being a socialist trying to look like a superhero. I don’t think it’s working.

It really doesnt matter how I define it. There is a proper definition A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members. Communism A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people. The Marxist-Leninist version of Communist doctrine that advocates the overthrow of capitalism by the revolution of the proletariat.

If my chill pill hasnt kicked in yet and clouded my judgement, England and Britain still have elections. That would lead me to believe they are not COmmunist. I guess I dont know your definition.

I am not really pro-Hillary. I am pro-backing up derogitory statements with facts. Not just repeating what you hear on Fox News Talking points
