Am I the only one who thinks this is not so good (link to photo)

The chick in the dress? Looks hot to me. At least she has a nice back.

Position looks absolutely terrible, but none of us here can ride nearly that fast.

Is he descending or something?

Do you mean taking his TT bike into the field?

The position looks pretty ugly, if that’s what you mean. Does he ride that far forward on the saddle all the time? And the helmet is even uglier.

I do like the dress, though.

Didn’t we already do this thread?

Ah, this is a new photo, but his position has always been sketchy.

Yeah, he probably would have won if he had rode in the fairway and not the deep rough.

yuck.

It’s too early in the day for a black dress. That is only suitable for after 6:00 PM.

Assuming the photo in the Velonews coverage of yesterday’s prologue is from the same race as this shot, his bars look OK in it (Velonews pic). Is it possible, as mentioned in the earlier thread on this topic, that the bars were loose and got “wrenched” towards his chin?

Somewhere at the end of this article this guy says something about this being the most aerodynamic position for the arms. Maybe he read the same article and set his mind on getting comfortable like that:)

I’m just waiting for him to grant Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble a wish, only to have it backfire on them and they have to beg him to help fix it.

(so, what I’m saying is, he looks like Kazoo)

Bad position? bad results. I should have such a bad position---- wait— I already do!

That’s exactly what I thought when I saw it! Great minds think alike (and so do ours).

Farmer needs to mow field, little kid has a gut, lady in black should know that is evening wear. Oh and Floyd looks like shit, but beat Lance. It ain’t about the bike.

Careful, Tom. You can’t beat Floyd and you do triathlons so you haven’t got a clue what you are talking about. Obviously Floyd knows something we don’t.

He could tie a kite to his seatpost and ride faster than most of the people here.

I was thinking of this today and I can only think of 2 reasons:

-As there were more hills he might have wanted a position to stay aero but also have a place to pull up for torque

-He also might have them high up to hide the air scooping effect of an open area beneath the chin to the handlebars

We might never know!!!
