Aluminum Version of Easton EC70 Seatpost?

For aestetic reasons, I am looking at replacing the $5.00 Kalloy seatpost on my bike. The post functions fine, I just think it cheapens what to me is a fine looking ride. I love the amount of setback, however. I did try a friends Thompson Elite zero setback post, but I didn’t like being that forward, even with the seat shoved all the way back as far as I could get it to go. I like the EC70’s head, it looks like it has tons of setback (btw, I’m talking road bike/road postition), but I’ve heard/read that carbon posts can slip. Does Easton make an aluminum version of this post? I’m not opposed to getting the carbon post so long as it doesn’t piss me off. Oh yeah, I see Thompson has a 16 degree setback post, but I’m not thrilled with the looks either, looks like a bent pipe…

TIA

Brett

Yes, they do, the EC50. But I wouldn’t worry about the post slipping. That was really just a problem with the early Campagnolo carbon posts. Remember that you should grease aluminum but you should not grease carbon.
