Really want a road bike because I traval around and I’m getting tired of renting bikes when I go to these great places to ride. I’m looking at the R3. I already own a felt b16 with flo wheels. No other upgrades. I dont see my self getting a power meter at this time yet. What has me second guessing myself is will I ride this road bike as much. Or will my tt bike end up sitting and getting dust. I ride 4 to 5 times a week. I would ride to work if I had a road bike. I would have some extra cash to upgrade to cockpit of the felt. I was think I don’t by the road bike and save for a p3 for later in the year. Then sell my felt and get a road bike next tax return. Why is spending money so hard sometimes.
unanswerable question
.
I don’t see so. I’m sure other people have had a tri bike and then got a road bike and see the reason why they think they made the right decision. Then I see people who bought the road bike and were like man should of just upgraded my tri bike. Trying to see what these people think. Do you have both and do you enjoy the cycling aspect of triathlon?
IMO if you have two bikes, a TT bike is for race day and TT specific training days (to get you body used to the different position). So it will probably get some dust.
A road bike would be used for all other cycling activities due to the benefits of that style of bike i.e. comfort, maneuverability, etc.
If you buy a road bike your TT bike will collect some dust. While the P3 has a faster frame than the Felt, once you take into account all the other variables you will probably not be any faster on it. However, new bikes are cool so that’s hard to put a price on.
While your TT bike will collect dust, more bikes = better.
Bottom line…buy the road bike, keep the TT bike and start saving for your next one.
So update of the cockpit worth it on the felt? I was thinking just new aero base bars 3T has some nice one and not bank breakers. I don’t see it making me a whole lot more faster and that’s just more money saved to new tr bike.
I meant by all you put int there it is to specific

Meh. Not a big deal nowadays with investments with guaranteed short term returns like CDs and savings bonds yielding like .1%. It’s a lot safer to overpay a little bit and avoid any potential penalty or inquiry (which costs time/money) than to save the $50 for getting 0.1% return on $5000.
Send me your refund. Converted to gold all you have is about 120 grams just weighing you down bro. Get that monkey off your back and cut me a check. Problem solved.
