So the weather channel and others say 65-70 degrees, partly cloudy, and 15-19 mph wind on race day. Pretty much the same as every day from now until Sunday. Does that say anything about the condition of the the swim (i.e. how rough will water be) or is it just a “get up on Sunday AM and look out the window” kind of thing out there?
You never know about the weather here. If it’s like it was this morning at 8AM, it will be BEAUTIFUL! Last year it was nice and sunny all week. Race day it was freezing and foggy and windy. So who knows?
clm, where it’s sunny but a bit breezy at the moment
Ya’ never know what you are going to get even an hour before the swim start. Last year the swim started out OK, but got really trashed by the end, as the wind picked up. But hey… it beats workin’!

I hope it is choppy, windy and with a nice rolling swell. I love the rough water swims and it’ll give me a bit more of a head start. Everybody can pass me on the run instead of the bike where I’m usually blown by!
I second that. Give us fish an advantage.

Freezing cold this morning and socked in with fog and wind. I’ll be wearing tights to go run. Pack fleece if you have it for post-race.
