AK Apparel - Custom One Off Bike Shirts.. Feedback?

hi guys…

i came across this during the week; http://www.akapparel.com.
They let you do one-off custom fully sublimated bike shirts.

I have never seen this kinda service before (normally there is a minimum of 5 or so), which means their 130usd pricing isn’t too bad!

has anyone ever used them?
i am going to use them for sure but any feedback will help (for instance, what is the quality of the shirt like?.. i am buying from holland so want to get it right first time)

i need a nice pink/black shirt to go with all my bikes and to have ‘milkywaye’ across the back will be just too cool (for me at least! haha)

and… is certainty fun playing with… http://www.akapparel.com/...l/jersey-builder.php

Did you actually buy from this company? How is the quality of the product (bike jersey)?

Has anyone seen any of their apparel, and care to comment on the quality? Thanks in advance.

very very pleased and since getting it i readily would recommend to people.

the service was to the time lines, the staff were very friendly
the shirt was as good a quality as any shirt… in fact they seemed to be able to really customise fit if i needed to (which i didn’t make use of)…
sizes was accurate to their measurements that they provided

it is always useful to hear some negative comments (to put the positive in perspective)…

  • they didn’t advise me on my design… so the logo on the back is a bit higher up than ideal (but that is down to my experience in this matter more than anything) - although they did adjust some logo sizes for me (and a good job too as i made them too big for the sleeves)
  • i specifically got a size too small (it is for a beach bike race on a very windy dutch coast - so flapping material would have been bad). that meant that the length was a bit short for me, but i think i could have asked them to provide a longer body material.

very very happy with them… and i will definitely be using them again in the future
having a one-off shirt is a real cool thing (as far as i am concerned at least! - bugg*r the nerdy factor! haha)

Thanks for the info - I am going to look into this further.
