Looking at some places for when I am in San Francisco for a week.

Anyone had any luck?
Any horror stories??

We got a great deal on a place in Miami Beach. The nice thing about it is that the listers have to answer to AirBnB so if you have a problem just call them directly and they will resolve it with the landlord. We had an issue with ours when we got there about something simple and it got resolved within 24 hours. The landlords don’t mess around because their listings get banned if they have complaints.

Keep SB in mind. Will post links when it’s ready and you will all get to finally see a photo of Mrs Duffy (and me).

I just reserved a room in Frankfurt, Germany with that service. Won’t be there till July of 2015, but the reservation part and communication with the renter was easy.

I’ve used airbnb quite a few times. Always a positive experience, yet to have a bad one.

I’ve used a few, worked great. I have 2 extra bedrooms listed - but mostly for the tax right-off.

Used it in LA last summer and had a great experience. Communications were good and the cost was very reasonable.

We stayed here and loved it: www.airbnb.com/rooms/1193940

Used it just a few months ago for a weekend getaway. Worked great, no problems.

My wife and I LOVE AirBnB. We’ve been using it for about a year now and only had one experience that was anything short of incredible.

We’ve stayed in a spare bedroom in Redding, to a whole apartment in Victoria, to a condo in Santa Monica…always cheaper, bigger, nicer and more ‘homey’/private than hotels. I love it.
