What are the aid staions stocked with for IMLP.
Well the most important stocked item at each aid station is_
“Ice cold” Gatorade Endurence Formula - Lemon Lime in Edge Bottles on the bike and Orange in green Gatorade cups on the run.
IMNA also provides you with -
GU - various flavors of the Original Energy Gel
Power Bars - They had Peanut Butter Chocolate and Cookies N’ Cream at Arizona.
Water - bottled water only! No garden hoses attached to the nearest house.
Bananas - apples and oranges - sometimes watermellon.
Pretzels
Cola - in most cases Pepsi, but somestime generic
Chicken Soup
Various foods later in the day at the run stations. Since I’m out on the run during the evening, I have stopped and enjoyed the following at some of the run stations at Lake Placid. (Please remember that these items come from the volunteer’s dinner cookout and they are not handed out to each runner)
Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, ribs, chips, Italian Sausage and Pizza.
They ran out of coke at several aid stations last year (and my time was not that slow, so it was not the end of the day yet).
