Anyone know what the bike placement for nationals is? I know at races like vineman and wildflower,
they have all the AGers together so it makes the bike transistion a very very smooth process.

I imagine that it will be relatively fair, like in last year’s Nationals where each AG was lumped together, though some folk still had to run the length of a rack (4 times) while others were lucky enough to be at the start of a rack, thus gaining about 15 seconds or so.
I made a post last year about creating fairer transitions, which was relatively well received:

In a nutshell, almost any transition zone shape allows for the creation of transition where everyone runs exactly the same distance, though few RDs ever implement it that way.
See you in Oregon
Good luck at Nationals. Nice to see you still up there at Wyckoff, running down Llerandi.
Thanks.
Again, lets try to say hi. I will be wearing my green gillians hat, (tennis hat), and am tall and skinny.
Will also have my flower at the bike transistion.

I’ve seen it done two ways. Either they give a designated area for your age group and you find a spot with that area, or they assign you a numbered slot which is alphabetical within your age group. It pays to get there first thing when the transition area is opened up to avoid getting the place in the far back corner
I hope they do the number thing like Wildflower does. Means no hassles in T since everyone already has a spot, and a fixed amount of space.
Also means no rush to be first in line at T opening.

Last year they did the number thing. But I guess it’s up to the race director so that could change. I hop ethey do the number assignment again. Especially since I am in the last wave and won’t have to get up so early.
Last wave. I am hoping to be done with the race before any of the fast folks pass me.
