Can anyone comment if they were charged airline bike fees when using this case.

when I first got mine 3 years ago I was never charged. Now it’s about 50/50. I think enough people use them that airlines know it’s a bike. But it’s still worth it because I can usually pack the bike and everything else I need for a trip in it (still under 50 lbs) and only have a carry on instead of two checked bags. I added wheels to mine so it’s a lot easier to drag through airports etc. Makes it easier to rent a smaller car too.
It’s still a money saver, just not as much.
I’ve never been charged. A couple times they tried to stick me with an oversize fee but I put on my puppy dog eyes and played dumb until they let it go.
