Hi,
I was curious if anyone knew if there was/is an appreciable aerodynamics of wearing a sleeveless unitard opposed to tri shorts and a tri top, or (for men) wearing tri shorts only in a race. My cycling coach believes the unitard or skin suit is more aero. I don’t really know.
Anyone?
Best,
Robert
a couple of people from our roadie group (including our coach) went into a windtunnel recently to test a bunch of things in particular clothing. The test was run by the same guy that works with Armstrong on the Nike clothing. Not to give too much away - skin suit covering as much skin as possible was the faster than normally cycling jersey. Also it was better to wear arm covers, gloves, sock covers than to have bare skin, apparently bare skin is slow.
