anyone out there following Dr. Maffetone’s aerobic threshold training principle for IM training?
are you racing at this HR as well?
do you do much training about this zone for IMs?
I am a 38 year old with a 4:35 for a 70.3 where I averaged 138-bpm for the bike/run which I did in 2:30 (135-bpm) for the bike and 1:35 run (145-bpm).
So according to Maffetone I should be training/racing at 180-38+5=147-bpm.
Any thoughts?
