Aerobar

This question has probably been asked over and over.

I have a road bike, currently fitted with a FF seat post, the plan was to slap on some aerobars on the standard road handlebars and adjust from there.

However I am getting a good deal on a base bar with Profile Aerolite. These are apparently highly adjustable.

My question is, will this screw up the handling of the bike and should I just opt for the aerobars without the base bar?

Thanks

if you can get the extensions short, and the stem short, then the aerobars will work on a road frame - or you can get some Oval Slam bars for your drops.

Forget the base bar and keep the road bars. Profile Aerolites have a large degree of adjustability so will work well for your application.

Hmmm

OK…btw my first post here…absolutely great site and forum!!!

Most likely gonna get the whole thing, but just use the aerobars (base bar is basically free). The only thing left then is adjusting the setup. Who knows maybe I’ll even post a pic of my EXTREMELY white legs…live in Norway so not much sun over here yet. Gotta shave’em too

You should do a forum google search and get in touch with Tribent. He is also from Norway and can help you out directly. He’s always complaining about the lack of triathlon in Norway. Quite a surprise to me since it would be excellent cross training for all your x-county skiers.
