Now that aero helmets are becoming the norm, and many of you have had yours for a few months or years, any changes in your opinions?
Would you buy the same one again today?
Do you find it hot to wear?
Do you wish you had waited until one of the newer and/or cheaper models was available?
What has been your experience?
I’m looking to get one, have seen the typical reviews, but I’m curious to see how your real-life experiences compare.
i love mine (LG rocket) and the only thing i would change is the color.
I have been racing in my 2007 model (more vents) Rocket and am very happy (as long as I am moving), but if I stop for more then 5 seconds, then its a total sweat bath. Tim
I love the Spiuk one. I dont get hot in it but if you think you will the helmet is not for you. the two vents on the front are pointless as no vents would probably feel the same.

Helmet is cool with the vents, looks great and is functional, did a 100 mile training ride on it this weekend, it was 95 degrees and my head temp. was fine.
Got the Giro Advantage.
Great lid, not sure if the vents make any difference. I tape them for track work.
Good fit, and really close to my back, providing I look where I’m going.
Need to change the colours though as it doesn’t match the club strip.

Have a lg rocket. The helmet i usually ride in is a giro atmos. I dont notice any significant(if any) difference in temperature, its so hot and humid here in Fl that the vents from the atmos let in warm air that doesnt cool you anyways. I cracked the shell part(by the bolts on right side) putting the lg on the other day and i think thats pretty crappy so i have a spiuk kronos on the way.
