I saw a post awhile back about the proper way to wear an aero helmet. My question is: Is an aero helmet better than a regular helmet even if it isn’t worn exactly perfect? For example, I see the tail not lying flat on the back. Is wearing the helmet that way still better than wearing a regular bicycle helmet with ten thousand vents.
based on some wind tunnel tester interviews I’ve seen, yes, definitely, an aero helmet is better even if you are looking down and the tail is pointing straight up!
