I use a King Cage bracket attached to my stem cap. I’ll try the metal cage and see if it’s too high for my arms to keep from rattling around. I like the location of the bottle up front, but so far I can only keep a standard bottle up there, which means no refills - a bad thing here in TX.
Really, I’m seriously not understanding, or else we are talking about different things. If you have to clamp the bottle between your arms to keep it from popping out of the cage, what do you do when you can’t have your arms in that position?
He’s pretending to not understand. James totally comes out of aero for corners (or perhaps never rides aero to begin with). Fun fact: earlier this year his hands were so firmly clamped down on the bullhorns that when he crashed his hand got stuck between the bar and the ground and the results were not good…
I found that Topeak makes an adjustable cage (http://www.topeak.com/products/Bottle-Cages/ModulaCageEX) that may be the solution to keeping the “sport” bottles secure. I ordered one b/c they’re cheap enough ($9 on Amazon), so I’ll give it try. Kind of ugly though, but it’s not too heavy. I think I’ll end up getting the Speedfil A2 though, looks pretty cool and fits my needs.
