Aero bottles for Hed or Visiontech bars?

Anybody know what aero bottle works best for Hed bars or Visiontech aero bars?

I use the bottle holder from Vision on the Vision tri bars. It is basically a half moon carbon piece that is cradled between the arm extensions. Personally I like it very well. I prefer to drink from a water bottle and I transfer them from my Saddlewing to the front as they are emptied. You just have to make sure that you have a good seal on your lid as fluids can leak out. What I like about it best is that it is simple, doesn’t rattle, and when you don’t want water up front, the carbon holder is so inobtrusive that you never take it off. Just get on and ride.

I have a set of HED bars on another bike and the extensions are too far apart to place the Vision holder. However if you have the clip lights, you can adjust them close enough for it to work. The fit may not work for you like that though and that’s no good.

Heres the Vision Set-up:

Thanks for the info. I considered that system as it looks good/simple, but I like my old set-up with a Profile aero water bottle to suck on the straw so i don’t slow my cadence…now I’m just wondering what will work on my new set-up…

kind of hard to drink when the bottle top is pointed away!

The profile bottle and bracket works fine with the HED Aerobars.

You are dead on with that one! : )

I seem to find a point over the coarse of 5-10 minutes to take a moment and lift a water bottle though. It goes back in easily too. Short time trials I wouldn’t do it, but longer races, it seems slightly insignificant. I’m not in contention for a win though.

Did I mention the CamelBak? Those were awesome in the old motorcross days…

Not for everyone – it won’t work either if your bars are angled or if your bars are set too wide. If you run them straight and relatively normal (compared to other bars), then yes, the Profile set-up will work…

To answer the question – I’ve heard the Podium Quest system works as it is quite large and has velcro straps to hold it in place.

You can also NeverReach that goes behind the saddle. The straw will work with any bars…

All good points…I want a front aero bottle set-up but I want my new P3c to look as “cool” as possible!

You could always put in a standard behind the seat double bottle holder and then modify them yourself with some long surgical tubing – drill holes in the bottom, merge them together with a “Y” and run that up front. I think that would look the neatest. To keep them easy refill, just fill the bottles with foam-mesh and leave the tops off.

I have the visiontech pro one piece bars so I can’t change the distance between the aero bars. I use the profile aero bottle but I have a neoprene koozie wrapped around it so it fits snug and then use rubber bands like you normally would use on a profile. It works like a charm.

i do this as well with a Bud Light one

My extensions are not actually parallel , rather they turn in toward to each other, but the bracket still fits and holds fine.
