Is it legal to make and install a fairing over the front brakes, and perhaps add one on to the seat tube to fair in the rear wheel? I’m not talking about components or frames made to be aero, just wondered about perhaps trying to fabricate something as a project. Anyone?

Dunno if it’s legal. I’m sure it’s OK for tri but the roadies would have a fit. I’m surprised that somebody hasn’t done something like that. Sort of like having CH Aero brake covers and round tube aero covers to go with the disc wheel cover. If you pull it off successfully please post some photos.
From my understanding its not legal to add any fairing to the bike unless its functional. I remember years ago when Profile was working on a fairing that went under the aerobars.Just adding the fairing was not legal it had to serve some purpose,therefore that big heavy waterbottle came about.Boy was it heavy when you filled it.
