Uh, right… And YOU’RE not the one selling the product?
How stupid do you think we are?

In my opinion health foods/supplements should have certain ingredients such as sucralose and artificial flavors.

Just another pyramid scheme making money off lazy Americans (just for disclosure, I’m an American, just not lazy).
Given the clientele in here, I think you will do quite well selling your snake oil and kool aid…I would also consider involving the “coaches” who frequent these forums, offering up their “years” of experience and “advice” to complete strangers who they know nothing about.
Dang, I’m late to the party! Seems like a lot of coaches are pushing this lately…must be good money from the sheeples. I don’t know if the OP is a coach or not, but when a coach pushes Advocare I tend to put them on my unreliable list. You can quote me on this…if you have to buy a laxative then you are not running hard enough!
advocare is an MLM pyramid scheme with over priced products. OP should be banned for spam
These guys have been advertising big time in local races via sponsoring races and even racers. Just another supplement.
What I never understood is how these things gain steam. The arena the Orlando Magic play in called the Amway Arena. I think the guy who owns the magic is a former or current owner of Amway. And doesn’t John Tesh do their commercials. How the hell does a scam get that legit?
Rich DeVos bought the Orlando Magic with a single personal check… Not many people in the world can do that.
But let’s separate Amway from scams – they make products, and have a compensation plan. Neither of those things are illegal or even unethical. Their plan DOES work. The problem comes with the organizations that form outside of Amway that use Amway as a supplier. The scam is not the products or the compensation plan, it’s the time-suck that the organizations become, the rah-rah, the isolationism.
Advocare may well be similar in their products and compensation. I just don’t care for the thinly disguised “hey guys, I just found this great XXX and you should check it out” stories that are nothing but unpaid advertising spamming the boards.
Interesting thoughts presented on this thread. Funny thing is, I have used Advocare for 3 plus years. I am now a runner(because I can!) and I make good choices on food that goes into my body as well. There is no magic pill. On the other hand the MLM isn’t a scam. The structure is there for anyone to look at and for those who choose to…to sell the products. It’s a sales job. I buy product with a percentage off retail but I sit right below the level where I can make money.(Wish they’d ask me to be a paid sponsor! lol. ) I use the product. I don’t sell the product… because I don’t want to have to always talk about it…b-o-r-i-n-g. If one eats organic- ok - I’d agree Advocare is not organic and they are not claiming to be. I don’t eat McDonald’s, drink soda, eat full portions offered by restaurants or consume alcohol in large quantities. The money spent on Advocare products is offset by money saved elsewhere. And though money earned is a driver in life, a runner knows there are better highs. It seems that there are always different perspectives to various approaches. I choose Advocare products over a lot of other “un-natural” choices available in main stream society. It’s a choice. It is also a fact and unfortunate, that some people don’t know how to sell a product, period - be it cars, customer service, or produce. I am a living example of increased energy, stamina, and muscle…and I’ll tell anyone I use Advocare, but I could care less if they choose to do the same. I live my results. I also know I am either blessed or stupid for spending all the money, but I am loving life! Happy Training!!
Joined today, and only 1 post, to post about whatever this product is. Nice work.
Yes, my brother started selling some “other” product and I was googling chatter on what I am using and stumbled across this web site. I hope to gain some help on my running, though not a swimmer so this triathlon business is new to me. Hamstring injury recovery. Hoping there are helpful posts, and not all sarcastic. One has to start somewhere. Maybe quiet and in the corner would have been less obtrusive, but fueling was my focus until my hamstring nearly snapped.
