ADVICE: Minor bike crash, long ride tomorrow, no time to get bike professionally checked out

So. Crashed earlier this week. The bike seems relatively unscathed, though my own inspection showed that the front brake had come a bit loose. I fixed this, and did a spot check around the bike (my bike maintenance knowledge is pretty minimal). A work priority is keeping me from being able to take the bike into the shop to be checked professionally, and I’m supposed to go on a long ride tomorrow AM. The crash was a wipe-out, and pretty minor, but my aerobars were kicked askew (I fixed this). Otherwise, I think it’s all good.

Any advice on things I ought to check on the bike? I really do want to go on the ride…

Thanks!
Ian

Just make sure to take the bike on a short ride around the block to suss out anything that may be amiss. This is really all the bike shop eill do. Shift all the gears and check the breaks, listen hard for any strange noises. If the wheels turn true they shoud be undamaged, but you can check for any loose spokes (If you ahve carbon rims take some time and look them over very carefully for dings/dents/deep scratches).

Other than that you should be good to go.
