Man, his shoulders were ripped. I’m probably close to half his age and my shoulders won’t ever look like his did.
The drills are identical Total Immersion drills. I don’t know if TI is where they started, though.
The first one in the first video is called overswitches.
Doug and I went to High School together in the Bronx, NY. Was a Great guy.

I think Doug’s talent lay in his passion and willingness to convey swimming info. Not that he necessarily knew more or less than other swim coaches, he just was able to convey the message across better than most.
