Advice after being sick/overtrained

I have my peak race (olympic distance) 3 weeks from now. I am following a 6 month training plan for this race. The problem is that I got sick/overtrained and I have stopped ALL workouts for the past 3 weeks so that I could recover. I was really building up my fitness well over the months and I am afraid I lost it all a few weeks before the important race. Now that I have 3 weeks before my race, does anyone have tips or recommendations for how I should train? I can’t just pick up the original training plan since it assumes I have been working out for the past 3 weeks. I understand that I won’t get back to 100%, but I want to have fun and feel fast at the race.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any help you can give.

Well… not quite an expert but I think you should start by doing week with many workouts but all short ones… say… don’t bike more than 1:30, don’t run more than 50 min, don’t swim more than 3000 meters. Try not to put too much volume on your first week, I would aim for 14 hours, no more.

You should eat well after each pratice so your body can recover well.

3 weeks is a lonnnnnggg time without training… but as I said, I’m not an expert…
