My mechanic is making his own fitting bike and asked me if I knew of any companies making adjustable length cranks. I know that Frank has them for powercranks and that Crank Bros have brought out their cobalt crank with some adjustability in it but I can’t think where else I have seen it.
This is an adjustable crank used on the Calfee fit bike. I am not certain where these fellas source this crank, but you can use the link to contact them if so inclined.
The Calfee bike may be the great unsung hero of the fit bikes. It is one of the nicest and most economical out there.

Hey Tom, that’s a helpful pointer in the right direction, sure looks like it would do the trick too. Thanks for your good wishes I shall be sure to pass them on to Bryce too. A very Merry Christmas to both you and Sarah, the first of many as Mr and Mrs Demerel. Good Health to you both.

I’m pretty sure that the fit bike Ves built for Dan (and now sells) has variable length cranks… No idea what they are, but either one ought to be able to hook you up.
I think the same adjustable crank is available from Computrainer. I’m not sure about the price but they did market it as a accessory, especially for their Velotron.
Uuuuffff! You guys are totally missing this one. Murray has had ADJUSTABLE AERODYNAMIC CARBON cranksets for about five years now (one of the first carbon cranksets to boot).
I have wanted to buy a pair, but every time they pop up on ebay, they always go out of my spending range. They sell new for $375 shipped (from where they are made). If you want to get something that is adjustable, then take a look at these.
Alternatively, crank shorteners can be purchased for tandem cranksets. Get a set of 180mm cranksets, and you can shorten one, the other, whatever (although this will affect Q).
I dont know why the Murray cranks never caught on big (I never heard much about breakage). Anyway, I think that these things are pretty cool.
