Adamo on the wonk

Happy Christmas all.

Bit of a quandary. On longer rides I have noticed my left Adamo prong is sitting lower than my right. I have a few slight hip flexor issues on the left. Could it be that the saddle is slightly too high for the left side cause me to be pulled down and put more pressure on the left prong? Or could I be just sitting more to the left, which is something I think I do.

Anyone else experienced this?

I was able to fix this issue a bit by making sure I tightened the saddle evenly on both the left and right when I installed it. In other words, don’t cinch down the left side a bunch and then move to the right. Do a quarter turn on alternating sides until it’s tight. Might help, might not.

Sweet thanks will have to try it. Mine does the same exact thing. Drives me crazy wasa bout to ditch the saddle as it puts more pressure on right side.

I’m guessing you have a Cervelo P 2 or 3? I do . . .same problem, and tightening both sides to did the trick. . . haven’t had to bother it in couple years

Thanks chaps, its an S5 so same clamp, will give that a go!

Happens to me when seat is too high, so sounds like you’re on the right track.

I think your issue might be addressed on the FAQ on their site.

8. My ISM saddle sits crooked on my bike or has uneven arms.
Some seatpost seat binder bolts put unequal tension on seat rails. This unequal tension is apparent on all saddles, but will only manifest with ISM saddles due to our patented dual arm design. This might manifest itself with your seat that sits “crooked” to one side or one arm might be higher than the other. Simple fix. Please loosen your seat binder bolt almost all the way, rock your saddle firmly side to side (think airplane pilot rocking the wings of a plane). This should re-seat your saddle firmly into place. Retighten your bolt and you will be back to riding the World’s most comfortable bicycle seat.
