Acorn Plans to Sabotage Tea Parties

Humble voter registration organizers - Acorn - plan to sneak into tea parties and cause trouble. Seems they plan on trying to get participants angry so they will do something stupid on camera, all in an effort to make participants look like loons. They will also circulate fake petitions in an effort to trick participants. Seems like just a week or two ago I was getting lectured on what a harmless organization Acorn is…why, they just want to register voters.

Haliburton.

You have anything more substantive than a site that references ACORN’s plan to be at post offices, and another site that references rumors?

I call BS on what they “seem” to “plan” to do.

I’ll let you know. I’ll be out there.

I’ll let you know. I’ll be out there.
Well, that should be determinative.

I’d ask you to don a squirrel suit and bring a friend and a digital camera, but as I recall, you’re not all that into symbolic gestures. It would be good sport, though.

We will also - in sprit. Most folks around here will be hanging tea bags on their front fencelines.

Acorn wouldn’t last long out here…

Assuming this is true (as verified by at least 25 unbiased sources), would that bother you Ken?

Blah, blah, blah, Acorn can do no wrong, let’s all go join the local Acorn ball-washers society and sing Kum Ba Yah.

You mean that if ACORN as an organization was planning on disrupting peaceful protests? Yes.

I’ll bet $50 to your favorite charity that that isn’t the case.

Fair enough, however the plan to infiltrate suggests a level of stealth activity.

apparently you didn’t read the comments for the foundingbloggers link:

John- Nope. Just rumors. That’s why there is a question mark at the end of the title for this post, and why we specifically ask the question if anyone else has heard anything about it.
People who do not read carefully assume that we are claiming it is a foregone conclusion that this is going to happen. Not true.”

Tea Party VA Beach on Wednesday. Going to read and sign all petitions, if I have any inkling that it is from ACORN I will proudly sign…just have to decide what name to use, maybe Tony Romo, Jason Witten, Tank Johnson, or maybe Joe Biden…

LOL at ball-washers at the big teabagging festival!

I’m going to dress up like that morans guy and go to the tea party here. Now, I just need to find me a St. Louis Cardinals t-shirt…

So it is being circulated on conservative blogs that ACORN will be at the teabagging parties with petitions to sign in support of Obama’s policies. The message is being sent out to all the teabaggers to not sign ANY petition at the events. In effect, a rumor started by the conservative teabaggers about a possible ACORN infiltration has curtailed the efforts of the teabagging organizers to collect demographic information and other relevant information to their cause. Simply beautiful.

I’m still curious if the conservatives staging these teabagging parties and the ones claiming they want to “teabag Obama” realize what the term “teabagging” means in modern venacular. I think they might want to revise their missiion statement.

What is the point of these Tea Parties? No one cares. The parties know they have y’all in their hip pockets so all the theater in the world is meaningless. The elections starts, abortion is yelled and both sides run home to Mommy Party.

Such latent hostility wrapped with a mocking style of humor. I’ll bet you are the life of the party.

We are going to channel Ross perot when we are out there to start a third party.

No third parties. Just the delusional members of both parties thinking they are different then the other guys.
