What is the upper limit of acceptable carbon spacers under the stem on 1-1/8" carbon steerers? Does it matter if you use a series of small spacers, or one large one? Is your limit one that the mfg. suggests, or a real world application? Thanks
My take (opinion) is that less is more. A single spacer is better than a series.
Also, I am told from owner’s manuals from forks (Reynold’s, Easton, etc.) and on the phone (by Reynolds) that you sould not go any higher than 1.5 times the diameter of the steer tube.
