Anyone have any clue how to get ahold of abici bikes. Anyone have a home phone number. Clark Metcalfe was a great guy until I purchased my time machine. Won’t return calls for the last 3 weeks on the abici number. Getting desperate.
thanks

Hi Jared, I own/run timetrial.org and socalttseries.com
I heard that Abici was closing it’s doors, but I cannot confirm this, maybe this is why your calls are not being returned
My Time Machine broke last year (split up the seat mast), was not able to warranty it through Abici
I suggest getting a Javelin.
Sounds like a plan except he’s got my money for a frame and a fork.
also, try posting this to the www.socalttseries.com forum
you will probably get a better answer as Abici is based in San Diego now
many readers have inside knowledge of the Abici status.
There is always the BBB
Did you pay by CC or check?
BBB=buyer best beware?
if so, i know. After talking with Roy Knickman a little while ago, i was super excited about abici. Clark was an ok guy until he had my money. I paid via Paypal, so they might be able to do something about that. I have the frame, just no fork or headset or derr. hanger that I also purchased. If I were to get a refund on the fork and throw an Alpha Q on there, would you think it is work 750 for a frame? that cracking on the seat mast concerns me bigtime. now would be the time to return it.

Funny, when you email his support email address on the webpage asking about a frame, he seems to answer within hours asking if I want to order a frame.
I read on a newsgroup that he was telling people he closed his doors because he had brain damage, and was operating the business from his home…
Hopefully everything is OK with them…
if you are talking about an alpha Q for the time machine, I will PM you the details.
he wouldn’t warranty that? that would seem to be a design flaw. The seatpost clamp, which I also didn’t get, i would imagine to be similar to the specialized model. would put pressure there. amazing. Time for something else. now if i can only get my money back.

I was not able to get a replacement in time, there were some warranty hurdles that I did not have time to complete, it happended during race season and I was fortunate to hook up with a fine Javelin Arcole and get back to racing without delay.
funny thing is there is no torque spec on that bolt as far as what i have seen. I got no paperwork with the frame. maybe it is with everything else. this sucks! i was supposed to have a complete bike a month ago. nationals are in one frickin week. insane.
what size? is yours? i wonder if you could cut down the seatmast and run more post. ghetto, but works. anyhow, there is no way a bike should do this. sketchy. if anyone has a home number or a way i can actually talk to clark that would be great.
thanks for all your help gary.
