Shows how easy close we are and how little it takes to push the scales the wrong way. Most of the principles our Constitution is based on don’t really coincide with human nature, which tends towards paranoia and selfishness rather than acceptance or tolerance. We’re always teetering on the edge of the precipice that leads to things like Japanese internment camps or the McCarthyism.
Just takes a little bit of a scare and a few people to take advantage of that fear by suggesting danger around every corner, and to call their opponents collaborators or weaklings (or maybe “militant liberals”), and we can go the wrong way pretty fast.

Why mention the Jews and Nazis? The Jews weren’t any sort of a threat let alone a people adhering to a religion perpetuating a growing fanatical and threatening ideology so aptly demonstrated all over the globe. Not according the same treatment and civilities to Muslims is not really that far fetched. There is no good analogy there. Good to see there were ‘plenty of callers’. Obviously ones with their heads on their shoulders and not up their asses.
To bring things to a pragmatic level … Muslims shouldn’t have been invited into the country in the first place …yours or mine. Yes they have a right to whatever any other citizens have a right to except propogating their poisonous religion in public. Why? … because the poison it produces encourages attacks on innocent civillians…pure n simple. Any other religion or belief that demonstrates such real threat should get the same, so it’s a prudent not racial or bigotry thing. Thing is so far there are none and the Muslims have a monopoly in this area.
The moment they show signs of that extremism thing … ship their asses out. And that includes things like public demonstrations supporting their terrorist brothers and going to work in their ninja outfits etc. It’s fucking disrespectful to others, expecting people to communicate to you all covered up like a Mummy. Don’t even reciprocate enough mutual respect to show yourself like a normal human being… if that’s not fucked-up, I don’t know what is?
Yeah constitute your ass when it gets blown to bits. The problem is, in relation to the laws of probability you’re not likely to get your personal ass bombed. So you feel so free about making a case for others to get blown up.
Even though American Japanese were mostly innocent … in the WW11 situation … those internment camps during the fight with Japan were just basically prudent. The camps themselves were needed but any maltreatment is another story.
Funny how dickheads like to predictably allude to any little thing to try and build a big case for unfairness and injustice for the oppressed … more often than not … where there is no case or where the ‘oppressed’ do not deserve normal consideration. Where there are real injustices they keep their gobs shut … I guess because there is no controversy issue for which to gain attention from.
Looks like Libral Jerry Klein got his ‘trying to be clever’ stupid-ass backfired on. Reuters and him are so ‘on a mission’ blind they want to turn it into some sort of statement about the prudent attitudes of Americans being the bad ones. The news is a large part of the people don’t follow your ostrich liberal thinking …and it’s for simple plain and evident logic good reason. Too bad Jerry Klein, Bern Debussman (reuters) and all the liberal faternity … they will just conveniently overlook that huge part of it.

Except that’s almost exactly how Hitler sold his agenda to the German people. The whole point was that he Jews were not actually the “threat” to the Aryan race that Hitler claimed they were, and likewise, Islam itself is not the threat to the rest of the world that people like you claim it is.

Once again demonstrating your lack of understanding of how the U.S. works. Muslims were not any more “invited” into this country than anyone else. That is to say, everyone is welcome, even you. Also, in this country, they do, in fact, have the right to spread their religion in public, even if it was actually poisonous. That’s what Freedom of Religion is.

Further evidence of your delusion. No credible historian or politician claims that the internment camps were justified, even from a simple pragmatic point of view. There was no practical reason for them. They were a product of fear and propaganda.

It’s not news that there are a lot of people who are afraid and willing to give up personal freedoms for security. That was the point of my previous post. We are always on the edge of allowing some blowhard to stir up the American people into hating or fearing whatever perceived threatening group is in the spotlight at the time. It might be communists or Japanese or Jews or gays, etc, etc. Unfortunately for you, common sense generally overcomes the idiots who feel the need to stir up fear and hate, and generally, people discover that it’s not “liberal” to evaluate life based on factual reality instead of rhetoric and fearmongering.
I thought you might enjoy a read from Charleston’s own Southern Avenger (www.southernavenger.com) on the topic. He’s a bit of a fruitcake, but often makes a good point. Here’s a clip from today’s radio broadcast (he gets a few minutes every morning on our local alternative rock station.)

Don’t keep telling me I don’t understand America 
and preach about the big danger every American is in from losing all that precious personal freedom. The people who do harm restrict freedoms not the ones amongst our own who want to reduce the threat and keep a better vigil and better security.
Picture this … There are a bunch of crazy violent psychopaths who are from some fanatical religious hippy commune who have already slaughtered on several occassions in Slowguy Town. Everyday they send hate messages about their desire to kill off and slaughter as many defenseless civillians as they can; that it is their Godly duty to do so if they are to go to heaven for eternity. So Slowguys and Girls say, “Oh no we cannot judge any of them because they look like hippies so different from everyone else around. Not all of them actually did the slaughtering of our defenseless civillians. Above all else they must not be treated suspiciously different from anyone else and allowed all access same as everyone else or God forbid we’ll lose our sense of individual freedoms in Slowguy Town.” 
Yes, there is that good fundamental practice of democracy together with a whole lot of other good things in America, however, Americans would be the first to admit there are a lot of things that are screwed up. Not being interested in the dynamism of society and being open to necessary and better change … is … well …Ostrich.

It’s exactly that … the loud mouthed liberals … who believe they have the God given right to blast off their mouths whenever and wherever they feel like it. If they kept their gobs to themselves for one minute they are sure to feel their individual rights slipping away. 
Problem is … they never grasped the simple fact that fuck-all gets done when every shit-head is sounding off at the same time.
And no Muslims should not be welcomed … the reason … it’s too obvious and I needn’t state it. If you’re not sure why, just take a look at the news on tele or pick up a decent newspaper. (excludes the New York Times) Latest take a look at the masses in Beirut chanting hate now for a few days already as we speak. You haven’t got it by now so it’s unlikely you ever will, but practically every individual one in that throng of hundreds of thousands strong crowd would just love to stick some explosives up your lily white naval administrative ass and light you up. Or alternatively chop off your dick, your head or your dick-head. 
And those are Muslims that have recieved moneys and aids amounting to billions of dollars in the past from the US and the West. Try digesting that fact.
