O.K I know this has been asked before but I don’t care.
As I have pulled the trigger on a new frame I now find myself looking toward wheels. Value for money wise I’m probably gonna go for a set of jet 60s but should I get a 90 rear? primary races are port of tauranga half and IMNZ. People, what say you?
Get the 90 rear or even better…get a Renn disc.

I tried contacting Renn but got no response so pretty much gave up on them.
Go with the 90mm rear. It’s a nice combo 60/90. Then you can also get a custom rear disc cover from wheelbuilder.com for $65. That will give you the vesatility of having two rear wheels.
Our most popular config for Jets or Stingers is 60 front, 90 rear
.
From what I understand that is about the most wheel you can get for the money without going used.
I’ve got a brand new Renn Kaiser 700c clincher that I’ll sell. PM me. if you’re interested.
Really?
That’s the exact opposite of my experience with them.
Hed makes good wheels.

Yeah I thought it was kinda strange after all the positive things people have had to say about them.
Problem with Heds is that the importer is multisport bikes. Zipps you’ll only get a 20% store discount on what filer retails them for on his site.
Renn will ship to NZ for a very reasonable price if you can ever get hold of him.
You could get Corimas from mark fulford at a much lower cost than cyclesport wholesales them for (he is alternative importer) but that is typical of uncle Ronalds attitude.
Yeah I found out about the zipps when I enquired about an Isaac frame. Spoke to Kent at multisport and he will sell me a pair but he doesn’t have the 60/90 combo so at this stage I’ve sourced some heds through the contact I got my frame off. How can I get hold of Mark Fulford? I had his details but lost them.
I’ve lost his details and the pricelist too unfortunately - it also looks like he is no longer part of endurancecoach either - they may have his contact details if you ask nicely
