The only sad thing about the pix is the photoshop job on the 2004 404s to make them appear to be 2005…
But its not really a riding position is it - its just a tuck on a descent.
Thats a bit conspiratorial don’t you think? I see no evidence of a “Photoshop job” on those wheels. It is a doctored photo, no doubt…but just to add some posterizing effect…NOT to conceal something as you suggest…go look at some undoctored photos from the racing…And quit looking for the second gunman on the grassy knoll.
Thanks for the tip Mr. Rankin.
The only colors that changed in the photo are on the rims. Just to add an effect, very doubtful…

Not quite…
That picture is from Paris-Nice and Bobby is on Z4’s, those decals are a silver print on top of a super-high reflectance film, so that there is a highly reflective outline. It costs like $12 per decal to manufacture them, but the effect in sunlight, or when photographed with flash is pretty spectacular, the outline glows nearly pure white, giving the effect you are seeing. Here’s another picture from one of the sunny stages at Paris Nice when Bobby was on those same wheels.

Ah yes, Z4. Doh.
Why do BJ’s Z4 have 3 decals per side when “production” has 2?
Are you guys cooking different wheels for CSC? I hope so!!!
and asymetric is making a comeback, huh?!
