You betcha!

That’s me on my FELT F1R!

I’ll be on the DA on the 25th.

good luck adam. i want a pr in the number of haikus you think up over a 112 mile bike leg. well look for you around the 10 hour mark.

Hey Bryan, I certainly will not be composing haiku, because after the first loop on the bike I’m sure my “poetic” observations will be limited to “glub dub stub bub bub bub, etc” Very cutting edge, no?. Oh yeah, it’s Todd, not Adam (who is Adam?)

I don’t know where that came from. Sorry.

My name is Adam, and I’m doing Lake Placid on Sunday. I’d love for you to see me at the 10 hour mark finishing the race, but that might be a bit too fast for me. Hopefully I’ll be there under 11 hours.

I’ll also do my best to come up with some poetry for you while racing. It might be something like this:

The swim is clear and cool,

Eat and drink, don’t be a fool.

Be sure to ride at an easy pace,

However, don’t forget that it’s still a race.

One foot in front during the run,

Finishing fast sure is fun.

I know, my high school English teacher is yelling at me as I type this.

Adam

great race todd. congrats.

Hey Bryan:

Thanks! I had a great time at LP though I did dwell in the valley of darkness for a bit there during the end of the marathon (but the great crowds pulled me through that). The swim was pretty much a punk rock water slam dance for the 1st quarter mile! The bike course was not nearly as bad as I anticipated either, actually it was the best part of the day because it’s just so damn gorgeous (no poems though, yet).

BTW: I’m already signed up for next year. It was really funny seeing all these limping athletes with checkbooks signing up for more pain the day after. You gotta love it!

Thanks again!

Todd “tripoet” Colby

congratulations to you!!!

what no haiku while racing? well now…LOL
