Nothing special to say except that I came home tonight from a coworkers house warming party and when I walked into my door, I noticed a gecko running on my house. No surprise there except that it looked like he had a mustache. Well, I looked closer and saw his “mustache”. Unfortunately, I tried to get the gecko to move to get a pic of him from a different angle, but he dropped his dinner and scurried off really quickly. I felt bad.

I like having bugs around my house because they attract critters like this. Also, it really funny because my cat goes bonkers when they crawl on the window.
So, I’ve include pics of creepy insects, pics of creepy insects getting eaten by a gecko, and a funny video of my cat going crazy chasing the gecko. This is a significant portion of the food chain here and I hope that ST approves.
Local pet shop owner explained to me that some folks buy geckos and release them in their basements as a means of pest control.
They are some cool little buggers. I wish they would eat more mosquitos though. I have mosquitos that bite me all day long whenever I go outside and it’s quite annoying.
Could it be that the geckos eat the spiders that eat the mosquitoes?
I want to find something that eats mosquito larva and breed the heck out of them in the creek that runs behind our house. I think it’s name is Mosquito Heaven".
Yes, I shave my pussy. It likes it, too.
Those pics are awesome!! We have a big woodpile in our back yard that’s inhabited by a pack rat (his name is Hanta), Western Fence Lizards, Desert Spiny lizards, and some whiptail lizards. We’ve noticed a marked decrease in the number of scorpions and crickets around the house since the pack rat moved in, but we have had a huge increase in the number of roaches in the back yard. We sit out after dark watching and waiting for the rat to come out and get a roach or something but so far he hasn’t. So unfortunately, the pack rat may have to move.
The cat video is great.
great scotts, what kind of hideous spider is that?
surly i’ll have nightmares after seeing that thing! actually, 2 creepy things including the gecko. eek!
Thanks. I just added what I thought was the best picture to the Wikipedia page on house geckos. I thought it was cool enough of a picture to share with a wider audience.
I’ll see your gecko and raise you lizard sex:

Geckos are some good creepies to have around your house. Plus, they can walk on virtually anything because of their special feet that basically use weak atomic forces to cling to surfaces.
