Some people on the forum asked for photos of our Computrainer Multirider System. WE spent some time and money getting this up and running. It certainly isn’t the largest nor most elaborate of the Computrainer Multirider systems we’ve seen set up in shops, but it is serving our purposes now and we have the trainers full nearly all the time from open to close now.
There are three trainers and we’re running the Multirider software, the Time Trial software, the coaching software and the 3D Software- rider’s choice.
We don’t charge to use our Computrainers and everyone is invited.
that is some SWEET action!!! Almost makes me want to leave the sunny climate of California and move to Michigan Well maybe it’s not that cool but it’s pretty close.
That’s cool stuff. A local shop that’s just opened here in my area has been talking about that sort of setup in the not too distant future—seeing yours, I’m keeping fingers crossed as that looks like a blast!
Well, as much of a blast as riding indoors could be…
2Real Cycles in Brentwood…did a ride a couple months ago with the owners and they had talked about it, not sure of the timing though…haven’t been in there just yet but will soon.
The platform serves a few purposes. It holds the trainers in place (we are installing anti-creep blocks today as a matter of fact), protects the floor from perspiration/gel/spilled sports drinks, conceals and protects the wiring as you mentioned and makes the affair visually nicer.
Wow! What a great set up, Tom! And available FOC? I wish my LBS was so attuned to it’s customers. I look forward to making use of it when I make my next visit.
Those are music stands from The Guitar Center for sheet music. The music holder platform has been removed for our use. They were on sale for $39.99 each.
We have a back part of our office about 300-400 Sf that someone is renting. I keep hoping he will move out so I can set up a small gym and system like that in it. That is very nice.
I’m not certain. I can tell you I wish these did come out the rear as the current routing is a little inconvenient for us to facilitate it diving down into the floor like that. As the trainers “creep” with a hard effort they tend to pull the cables.
A friend of mine, Pierre, a former test engineer for Ford Motor Company, is installing some “anti-creep anchors” today to help prevent that.
We play DVD’s up there or use it for additional telemetry displays. If you’re doing a long, aeorbic ride on the Computrainer it is nice to have a race video in or a movie for entertainment. Makes the miles go by faster…
