Wow. Those pilots and casevac crews are awesome.

Did my man pull it out or is it harp lessons for the poor man?

this took crews from Santa Cruz Co Fire , CDF& Santa Clara County AMR Ambulance Paramendics and Stanford Life Flight pilot and flight nurses to pull this off…

It took a long time to stabilize him for transport…but he was alive when they lifted

Totally amazing pictures Eric… thanks for posting.

How many times have you heard a story of someone having their life saved by the combined efforts of the firefighters, paramedics and life flight crewdogs who do this stuff every day? Total respect for all of them… truly amazing people.

As an aside, I just read a book called “So others might live” which tells is the story of a Pararescue Jumper from the USAF. If there was ever a bunch of complete crazies who do what they do just to save lives… another group that falls into the category of truly amazing.

When I lived in Monterey, I remember seeing bikers splitting lanes going over Hwy 68. It was insane.

I’m talking to the Helo pilot in the 1st pic and on the hose at the front of the engine during the carry out…

couldn’t say who some of the other guys were as I was assigned to the hose team at the LZ and had to stay there
