A day in the life of rferron

Here is a typical day of my life :

I’m sitting on a rock, relaxing and enjoying the magnificiant view of mount Everest… http://images.snapfish.com/3426783523232fp64%3Dot>233%3B%3D479%3D779%3DXROQDF>23236%3B849458%3Bot1lsi when I start hearing a strange noise…rinnnnnnggg. #@!$!$ it’s already time to get up! It’s 4h45 AM and I have to be in the pool at 5h30. http://images.snapfish.com/3426783523232fp7>nu%3D324%3A>388>688>WSNRCG%3D32327%3A93934%3A<nu0mrj After the swim, it’s time to work. I work at Développement International Desjardins as an analyst-programmer. I am currently working on a banking transaction system that works on a Pocket PC. http://images.snapfish.com/3426786%3B23232fp63%3Dot>233%3B%3D479%3D779%3DXROQDF>23236%3B85949<%3Aot1lsi Note that Slowtwitch is never far… After work, it’s time to bike a bit. Since it’s winter, Spinervals video is my way to survive indoor training. http://images.snapfish.com/3426786%3B23232fp58%3Dot>233%3B%3D479%3D779%3DXROQDF>23236%3B8485473ot1lsi Now a quick outside run in the old Quebec http://images.snapfish.com/3426786%3B23232fp58%3Dot>233%3B%3D479%3D779%3DXROQDF>23236%3B8486347ot1lsi http://images.snapfish.com/3426786%3B23232fp58%3Dot>233%3B%3D479%3D779%3DXROQDF>23236%3B8483%3A85ot1lsi After eating a nice meal, there are two things I do every single night : read a good book and, when I’m not with her, call my girlfriend. She’s in Gatineau and I’m in Quebec city so it’s a 4 hour and a half drive to see her :frowning: http://images.snapfish.com/3426786%3B23232fp7>nu%3D324%3A>388>688>WSNRCG%3D32327%3A939432<nu0mrj I also do some quick abs before going to bed around 9 when I can start dreaming again about my girlfriend Christine and I having some adventures http://images.snapfish.com/3426786%3B23232fp64%3Dot>233%3B%3D479%3D779%3DXROQDF>23236%3B8589%3B8%3Aot1lsi

Wow, I’ll have to learn how to align the pictures in my post!!!

Good job, I really like the true “day in a life” posts. As opposed to some of the photoshop picture shows we have had.

downtown Quebec looks pretty cool. Is that govt on top of the hill in the castle? 4 hours away from your gal? Damn, that sucks. Thanks for sharing.

The castle is call Château Frontenac and is an Hôtel…a really nice one
.

Le Chateau Frontenac. Terrific hotel. Very cool bar overlooking the St. Lawrence.

Good job, This re-affirms my desire to visit Quebec. Looks like a great town.

Do they hate Americans there like they do in France?

Myself and a few other ST’ers will visiting QC in the summer to participate in the Police and Fire World games…any idea of where and how the course might be? Also I’ll be pulling my travel trailer there to camp, how are the camp grounds?

wow- Quebec does look pretty neat- although I’m sure you spend lots of time on that trainer, eh? also, how far away is the skiing?

just may have to do a trip some day- maybe bust out some of my remedial High School french, you know, for the ladies…

Merci beaucoup! C’est Magnifique! And Mahalo for sharing.

Hey jkmorrow,

I dont have any idea on the course yet, but I have a friend who will also be there and might have an idea. PM me after the holiday’s and I’ll check what I can find out for you.

yeah, Quebec is really great…if you like winter which I do. You have a lot of ski center at about 30 - 45 minutes drive (can be less depending on where you live) including Mont Ste-Anne which is great. For XC skiing, you have a lot of great places all around also.

I’m sure you will love it. If you come during winter, be sure to come during the winter carnival in February. You will have to reserve a lot in advance though because the city gets really crowded.

shameless bump
