A Better Spoke Magnet

I have a polar CS200cad computer, and while I really like the computer, I don’t like the cadence magnet. It’s a magnet with double sided tape stuck on the crank, then wrapped with polar-logoed electrical tape. After seeing how the Campy pedals have a magnet built in to the pedal for cadence computers, I thought about doing something similar with a tiny magnet stuck in the allen hole of my shimano pedals. I tried Radio Shack, but they didn’t have a magnet small enough. Then I found these on eBay (which I’m sure everyone has seen, because of all the big manufacturers in the title): http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=005&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=150065716752&rd=1&rd=1. They cost something like $7, and they got here within a week. They are exactly what I was looking for. They’re tiny, and really strong. They stick right inside the allen hole of my pedal, and would probably stay there just like that (I covered them with a tiny piece of electrical tape to be safe). The cadence sensor picks them up easily. I’m thinking of using them for the front wheel pick-up, gluing them to the either the nipple, spoke, or ideally the lower part of the rim itself. I just have to figure what to glue it with, then turn the sensor around and hope I have enough clearance from the brake if I decide to glue it on the rim. They’re definitely worth it if anyone is thinking about picking up a set.
