So did anyone read the article on ironman.com that was announcing the first offical physical challenged lottery winners??? Seems that all the winners have already had remarkable multisport accomplishments and are all very well known in the multisport community. Seems kind of odd that these were the winners of the “lottery.” Personally I think the the PC racers are truely remarkable, but this announcement brings into question the practice of the WTC lotteries.

How many PC athletes do you think there are and know about the lottery? I just found out about it today from this post and I’m a PC athlete.
I suspect that 99% of the athletes that applied for the lottery already have some experience racing.
I can’t argue with you about the lack of publicity regarding the PC lottery. I just don’t buy that once entered, the lottery is fixed.
I agree its not fixed, the PC athletes that are good enough will just earn there spots.
