That’s just one of many threads where it was mentioned here on Slowtwitch. They gave out 50 spots to the local triathlon club, the St. Pete Mad Dogs. I don’t think Ironman published it, it was more a local thing to get volunteers and drum up support with the SPMDS. I unfortunately need a lottery entry to race in a World Chapionship:)
