7/14 Tour spoiler: Tyler, Levi, Roberto

I had to leave for work with 20K to go. What happened to the Tyler, Levi, Roberto part of the group? Could they not keep up or were they just too far back in the pack when the sprint started?

I realize 7 seconds probably isn’t going to matter but it seems strange that three strong, alert riders on strong, alert teams would let Lance and Jan put any time at all into them.

The stage ended with 1.5k climb. Because there were still points and time bonuses to award, the hill was attacked really hard and the group was all strung out. Watching it live it didn’t seem there was a cut, but I guess after Jan Ullrich there was a gap over 1 second, and that made the 7 seconds.
