Anybody tried this? I am thinking of upgrading my crankset to a compact (34/50). My 9 speed shifters work fine. The FD is a 6500. I have read that the 6700 crankset rings are slightly father apart than the 6600. This would be more like the 6500 crankset. I don’t want to spend a ton of money as this is a gravel road bike.
I posted this a bit ago without response. If anyone is interested i will answer my own question. Everything works together fine.
I have out fitted my 2006 tricross with:
9-speed dura ace shifters
6500 FD
6600 RD
6750 Cranks
9-speed 12/25 ultegra cassette
7800 chain.
Shifts great. Needs a better motor.
