650 wheels on a 61cm QR Kilo

I recently came across a 61 QR Kilo with 650 wheels. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to having 650’s on a large frameset?

There may be some advantage when climbing or cornering (lower moment of inertia due to a smaller wheel), but no aero benefit.

AS the owner of a 59cm QR TeQuilo with 650c wheels, I have tried to figure this out as well…
I think (and i styress i think) it has got to do with the length of the head tube…on bikes like ours, the head tube is generally alot longer which restricts our ability to get lower/ more aero…

Certainly, it is uncommon to find the newest models with 650c wheels in frame sizes above 55cm…
