61 size cervelo dual frame for 6'3" guy

  1. Do you think it would fit? I’m told the dual frame doesn’t get any bigger. I am getting fit by Cronometro by Colin. I don’t think i can afford the custom frames if the cervelo won’t fit.

  2. As a guy, can I ride a yellow bike?

I’m 6’2" and ride a 55 Tequilo. I test rode a 56 P2sl also, which fit pretty well also. Seems like 61 might be too big??

As long as i could ride at 61 or less, I’m good.

I’m 6’4" and ride a 61 QR Kilo. It’s a somewhat slack tri bike. I think the Dual is similar so you will most likely fit. My bro. is 6’9" and rides a 63 C’dale.

in that case, I think you’ll be fine.

The dual/p2sl were one of the frames on my shortlist to build up next year - I am 6’2 and change - short torso, looong arms. Did a fitting on a 61 dual - like a glove in the forward position. Not sure if you want to ride slacker how well it would work.

As long as i could ride at 61 or less, I’m good.

I’m 6’4" and could match my current position on a 58 dual but would prefer to go to a P3 so I could get lower. My 58 cannondale is more equivalent to a 56 in Cervelo sizing.

I’m 6’2" and am on a 58 P2K. A 61 would be way too long in the top tube for me I think. Depending on your proportions I think it’s unlikely to be too small for you.

I am 6’3" and ride a 61 dual(2006) just fine. When I was getting sized, we started with a 58 and we went up from there. We put in a shorter stem though. I did IMFL with no issues. http://www.asiorders.com/view_user_event.asp?EVENTID=10464&BIB=1542

Advertised sizes dont mean much. I’m 6-3 with a 37" inseam and have ridden frames sizes from 63cm Cannondale, 62cm Trek, 60cm Kestrel, XL Softride, L Zipps and as small as a 52cm Tiemeyer. They all fit great. It all depends on the geometry size not the advertised frame size.
