5430 Long Course Roll Call (2)

Looks like we have five days, seven hours, and fifty-three minutes until go-time. Who’ll be there?

I’m in, racing a white and black and yellow CU Tri kit and P3C.

Remember, bike course has changed since last week (to make it even faster!):

Best of luck, all!

Ready to Roll!
Have you done the series?
See you at the race

I’m in and really looking forward to a great day! Good luck to you.

I’m in. First time racing in Boulder.
Should be good.

I know that “Mrs.” Bubbles will chime in shortly… he might be on the drive already tho.

Faster bike course? That might be my saving grace.

Good luck, all!

? - Are there any hills on the run?

I dont think that the bike course is any different from years past. am i missing something? looks like the same course as last year.

and not really any hills on the run. there are 3 small ones and it’s a two loop run.

One very small hill at about 1 mile. No longer than a .25 from bottom to top but other than that its pretty flat with no shade. Part of the run is on a dirt road that can get a little wash boardie. I would say its a pretty fast run course but it can get hot.

Me and my other half will be there.

The small out and back has been moved
.

I’ll be there…working the AVIA booth. I hear Colorado is AWESOME!!
Seriously, looking forward to going back to the Front Range and to one of my favorite events.

I’m in. i’m doing it “off the couch” like every other tri i do.

I did my second ride longer than 35 miles yesterday since the race last year. I rode up to evergreen, and then hit 4 more up past the HS. My other ride longer than 35 was the elephant rock century on a singlespeed.

My second child was born 5 weeks ago, so I will be the one struggling to get out of bed, draggin on the run. I have a QR PR7 fron years ago, with a yellow top, oakleys, and probably r unnin gin a visor.

Kiwi will be there and hoping for a better performance than the first two races.

cool. thanks.
not so worried about the heat.
from Austin where it has been well over 100 for the past 30 days.

  1. The bike course has only been changed a little bit. Rather than having an out-and-back on 65th, now on Monarch.

  2. The run course has several hills, but nothing really bad. The first half is gently rolling, but then the second half is nearly perfectly flat. Overall, pretty flat. I think all but about a mile of it is on hard-packed dirt, so probably not the best half to wear flats on.

  3. It looks like the bike course no longer has the out-back on 51st (the one leading into the Res) on the first loop! While it means that your loved ones can’t see you on the bike course at the Res entrance, it means that you don’t have to climb that hill right at the entrance.

Hey f*%ker… you didn’t tell me you were coming.

Need a place to stay?

Nope and nope : )
I was going to email the Fan Club tomorrow letting them know of my appearance schedule…
I’ll call you when I get there Friday afternoon.

I will be there racing and will also have a booth at the expo. I have a running injury so I am going to do swim-bike-done. Bummer–but at least I get to “race”

See you there. Looks like great weather. 68 degrees and sunny at 9AM.

I’ll be there. I’ve done the series. This will be my second HIM and I’m a little better trained this time so hopefully the results will be a little better as well. Of course the run can be hot and there’s no telling how that will affect me over the distance. I’ll be wearing my tri club stuff - P2TC. There should be a bunch of us there.
