my response, and i could be talking out my rear, is that if you are a longish torsoe kinda guy, you would be better on a P2SL as the rear wheel is closer to the bottom bracket thus evening out the weight distribution a little.
I say this myself riding a 54cm '05 Dual Ten w/ a 12cm stem and the seatpost not really that high.
I ride an 05 51cm Dual. The geometry and handling are great. Only downside for me is a lack of a downtube bottle braze.
