The second annual 5/3 Bank Firecracker Triathlon will take place at Jean Klock Park in Benton Harbor, Michigan on Sunday, July 1, 2007. This sprint triathlon consists of a 1/4 mile swim, 14 mile bike and 3 mile run. Registration is now open at www.firecrackertri.com.
The 5/3 Bank Firecracker Triathlon covers some of the same swim, bike and run courses as the Whirlpool Steelhead 70.3 Triathlon. The race will close at 1,000 participants.

I plan on doing the race again this year. Had a great time last year, really loved the swim. That was the first time I did a swim with a lot of waves, it was actually fun(of course the waves were pushing us towards the finish which made it easier). Will it be the same bike course? Fast bike course I thought.
Courses will change a bit in 2007 as Jean Klock Park goes through a renovation. But basically the same courses around the park. Z
